Dallas Friday’s condition has continued to improve. On Sunday, 8 October 2006, she was taken off a ventilator that was used to support her breathing during her recovery, and is now breathing on her own. She is no longer sedated, is alert and is able to communicate with her family.

Commented her father, Robin Friday, “We are pleased with the excellent care she has received here in Singapore. Special thanks go to Changi General Hospital, the Singapore Waterski and Wakeboard Federation and their incredible staff who have provided so much more than the round-the-clock care and support throughout this challenging time. My family is eternally grateful to Changi General Hospital and the Singapore Waterski & Wakeboard Federation.  Dallas has become one of their own. Thank you for all your prayers and support for Dallas and please continue to pray for her recovery”.
