Waterways Ireland - a major sponsor of the World Cup Stop in Enniskillen in Northern Ireland in 2005 and 2006 - is on a serious promotional trail. In January they invited World Cup Slalom Champion Jodi Fisher (GBR) to highlight their sponsorship at the London Boat Show. This weekend, World Cup Media Chairman Des Burke-Kennedy is working with Waterways Ireland at Dublin’s Adventure Show. Surrounded by Mt.Everest Climbers, Atlantic Rowers and trans-World Yachtsmen, the 2006 World Cup series is in the spotlight. Highlights of the 2005 World Cup season are featured on the large Plasma Screens and special Enniskillen Stop leaflets are urging the thousands of Show visitors to mark August 11/13 in their diaries. That is when the World’s greatest Skiers will return to Enniskillen for the 2006 World Cup Stop.
Des Burke-Kennedy (IWSF) also announced at the Adventure Show that DVD’s of the past Stops are now available at this special Web site - www.proactivetv.com/shop. This is the first time that these have been made available. Requests for copies were received from around the World and now these “collectors items ” can be yours !
